My understanding, (not in the defense of alsa3eedi and co) is that the nancy ajram and the mannequins debacle was more a case of 'where' rather than 'what'. So concerts by minimally covered lebanese singers have never ceased, nor have any objections about mannequins but they objected about their proximity to sanabis or muharraq or wherever. its all part of the same self-publicising fame-loving voyeuristic ‘facebook’ phenomenon, there’s no shortage of liberal moderate nidoers or nido-wannabees dying to appear looking great and having a fantastic time.
